Here's my profile (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Hardik-Shah-46/research) and I added 7 papers today. Out of these 7, 4 are already indexed in Google Scholar.
Questions:
How much time will it take for the remainder of 3 papers to show up on Google Scholar?
If I access my profile using the link in Chrome in a Incognito tab, I do not see the research papers and neither the Download button against my papers. Is it awaiting approval or processing from the Admin team since I just uploaded them today?
Is there anything related to Copyright I need to do for my papers? When uploading them, nothing was asked.
Only 1 out of my 7 papers is a post-print, will it be indexed in Google Scholar as well?
Does Google Scholar index faster from Research Gate or arXiv? I need all my 3 papers indexed in Google Scholar as soon as possible.
Is there a way to set a username for my profile? Currently it is Hardik-Shah-46, but can I choose my own?
Peter Breuer - I understand your suggestion for publishing in IEEE Xplore, but that's not a decision I can make now for the 3 papers. For evidence reasons, I need my papers indexed and I will take one of your suggestions and upload my papers to my website so Google can crawl and index it. To understand other aspects, I need responses to my other questions above.
Dear Hardik Shah Did not checked them all, but I was able to find the following paper in GS:
Advancing Web Development - Enhancing Component-Based Software Engineering and Design Systems through HTML5 Customized Built-in Elements
Go to your GS profile and use the search option to find this paper (Go to the +sign and choose Add papers), when you find a 'hit' then you can add it to your profile.
Best regards.
PS. When it comes to (some) of your questions there is unfortunately no clear answer available. GS takes an unknown time to pick (if ever) papers up (depends on publisher, type of publication, etc.). The same is true for papers/chapters/preprints etc. uploaded here on RG. Some are picked up by GS (like the paper I mentioned above) quite fast while some never are.
I indexed my papers on my website and Research Gate and Google Scholar indexed it within two weeks. The technique worked for published papers. I have an accepted (but not published) paper indexed in Arxiv and Research gate, awaiting for it to be indexed.
