Why would you want to start with the method of analysis before you frame the problem? Looks like you are working backwards from the analysis back to the research questions.

I would advice you start from the research questions first before you figure out what method of data analysis is suitable.

I totally agree with past researchers, you should see the capability of the models (logit, probit, ...) with different types like (binary, ordered, generalized, ...).

You can get also see this recent works that used these models not just to know the relation between the variables but also used this technique to predict and forecast the demand for PV and for EP.
