We are trying to bind a peptide on silicon surfaces via CDI (carbonyl-diimidazole) agent. In literature it is mentioned that dry acetone and dioxane have been used as solvents (at quite high concentrations 20-80 mg/ml). I have tried to dissolve CDI in dry dioxane at different concentrations (ranging from 10-60 mg/ml), but it seems that even after 15 hrs magnetic stirring the solution remains quite blurry. I 'd like kindly to ask you whether you could provide me any technical information that could be useful to me regarding the CDI solution (solubility, different solvents, the importance of dry conditions, etc.).
