Does somebody know of some interesting literature about language contact in a quantitative approach? Papers on how to determine if a pattern in a language is the result of contact with another language using quantitative techniques (others than descriptive statistics) are welcome. I'm not interested in quantitative studies in lexicology, however.

Thank you very much, Uliano Conti! it is precisely the kind of analysis I was looking for! However, it focuses on borrowing and code-switching. I'm mostly interested in that kind of study for syntactic patterns and loantranslations.
Language Contact is an interdisciplinary series bringing together work on language contact from a diverse range of research areas. The series focuses on key topics in the study of contact between languages or dialects, including the development of pidgins and creoles, language evolution and change, code-switching and code-mixing, bilingualism and second language acquisition, borrowing, interference and convergence phenomena. Quantitative research is essentially about collecting numerical data to explain a particular phenomenon, particular questions seem immediately suited to being answered using quantitative methods. Qualitative researchers are subjectivists. In contrast to the realist view that the truth is out there and can be objectively measured and found through research, they point to the role of human subjectivity in the process of research. Qualitative methods might be used to understand the meaning of the conclusions produced by quantitative methods.
Quantitative data includes closed-ended information such as that found on attitude, behavior or performance instruments.
