I found that my compound interact with several metabolic enzymes (using pulldown assay, followed by MS analysis); such as carbonyl reductase, GST, aldo-keto reductase, glyoxalase, etc. All of those enzymes convert reactive aldehydes (produced from oxidative stress) into less toxic compounds. I want to observe effect of my compound on the level of those aldehydes and found some kit for that (links attached). However, I wonder that I can't found any paper using those kits or measuring the aldehyde levels intracellular. Is there any critical point to do this experiment? Or any more suitable experiment to observe the effect of my compound on those enzymes?
