Hi,
May I know what are some methods that can be used to quantify bacteria in its digestion of polystyrene? Since Polystyrene is non-polar, it usually they precipitate after adding them to polar substances.
I've tried staining them, don't really work. Am hoping to find an inexpensive method that could help me in optimizing their rate of polystyrene digestion and test the rate of improvements.

Hi, very good question, I try to find same method for rubber compound. I think about characterization of matrix and in direct characterization. But other reply would be interested for me as well. Keep in touch.
