Respected Machach Laila, I understand that your doing Pushover analysis for concrete gravity dam by using SAP 2000 software. In this it is necessary to define the plastic hinges. A “plastic hinge” is rarely a “true hinge”, it is a theoretical implementation of a concept to verify weaknesses in a design and to eliminate the most complex issues that can fail a gravity dam.
