For Actuator-In-Loop simulations, why are the rocket engine nozzles along with the thrust vector control assembly (including the actuators) kept inverted on a platform like in the attached image or as in the Youtube video for an Ariane launch vehicle simulator?
Are there any structural reasons to the same (e.g. to avoid exciting any modes) ?

Attaining Gravity.
Resistance elimination.
Fraction elimination.
Mass Convergence.

It's structural—easier and cheaper than hanging them. The smaller end (which we think of as the top) must handle the full weight down and greater upward thrust. The bigger end (which we think of as the bottom) need only handle a portion of the maximum force. The cone is made of side-by-side tubing that preheats the reactants when firing.
