I am going to graft PCL chains from the surface of a nanoparticle. I do know that prior to polymerization, drying of epsilon-caprolactone and then vacuum distillation is necessarily needed in order to remove inhibitor, stabilizers, etc.
I did research on the procedure, but I just want to be sure that what is the correct procedure.

A general procedure would be drying over CaH2 and vacuum distillation. Main impurity would be water.

Thanks for your contribution. During my research I found out the method you mentioned is efficient. I've read that CaH2 must be stirred with the monomer for 24 hours, and then the monomer should be distillated and stored under inert atmosphere.
Because I don't have sufficient amount of the monomer (epsilon-caprolactone) and the process to supply is time-consuming, I just wanted to know that this procedure is ok or not. I can't do it by trial and error.
I want to try this mentioned method.....hope it will work...thank you everyone for your valuable opinion......
