In various lithium batteries researchers use different current densities for measuring the capacity of a battery. What is the basis of their decision ? Is it just about the devices they use or there are some factors that need to be considered? So how can we compare them ?

This is very simple to draw a table or tabular graph and compare the capacities of different electrode materials used in LIBs, further you can also compare their capacities retention after long cycling at higher current densities used by different researchers. People are often interested to see the power density, i.e. the how fast can extract the energy from my battery? This is of course related to the active material, but also to particle size, electrode morphology (i.e. porosity and carbon content). For modelling purposes it is perhaps most easy to start from theoretical capacities.
