The growth capabilities of diesel - degrading consortium, along with organisms isolated from a contaminated, were investigated using molecular profiling , isolation, and physiological methods using 10 of the fuel's most abundant constituents as sole carbon sources. The results indicated that the degradation of the fuel"s constituents may be shared among the microbial community. .......and finally identified on the basis of similarity using blastn protocols ( https://cnbi.nlm.nih.gov/BLAST).
One of the easiest way is to employ minimal mineral medium + 0.2 % V/V, 0.5 %V/V and 1.0 % of a pollutant to be degraded, respectively. Pollutant acts as a substrate (a carbon source). Inoculation should be performed by bacteria supposed to be possible degraders. Cultivation in shaking flasks. The rest concentration of a pollutant should be determined after 24 h, 48 h, and 72 hours of cultivation. Degraders of choice should degrade 0.5 %V/V in 48 hours to nondetectable level.
