I have a question, i work with proteins and modeling it but i need a program for see the topology of the protein and maybe freeware ... if is posible .. usulally y used pymol for the 3D
RASMOL can be the first to try of the very many, although if you are not careful enough, the web servers you use for the PDB things will inject some pulgins into your browser too.
There is a program called "topdraw", where you can create these yourself and PDBsum contains topology drawings for PDB proteins (e.g. http://www.ebi.ac.uk/thornton-srv/databases/cgi-bin/pdbsum/GetPage.pl?pdbcode=1a06&template=protein.html&r=wiring&l=1&chain=A). Other than that, I don't know. Does anybody know a program that draws these automatically from PDB data?
