I reviewed the prime number function today and changed the conditions slightly. the condition for a the fusion of two primes is now that each component p is >= 1.

This makes the theory more logical and it turns out that the number of steps required to build a prime is equal to the sum of the p's.

It now takes 145 steps to make p32 (127)

Raul Nunes maybe my subject title is not clear, I actually changed it on the web link to "Prime number fusion" because the function does not actually generate prime numbers, it shows the number of steps required to construct each consecutive prime according to a set of rules. Those rules are similar to the rules that govern the fusion of elements in stars.

You could also think of this in terms of waves such that the first prime number p1 (2) is a pure sine wave, with each consecutive prime being the sum of sines that produce a harmonic.

As with all new ideas I can not yet say if it is useful in any way, time will tell :)

Your calculations are not clear yet.

In the meanwhile, you need to correct your table where you made a mistake.

P10 = 27, which is not correct. ( 27 is a composite number).

Remove this number, then rebuild your tables, and then show your interpretations.

Hi guys, thanks for everyones interest and positive feedback. I revised my table again this morning after discovering several small errors. I am sure there is an easier or better way to write this code, and someone out there with better coding skills than me may want to suggest a way. In any case I have uploaded the revised table below. The question still remains, why are some prime gaps are larger than two?

If our Universe started with the fusion between two hydrogen atoms, as would be the case according to "Ground Potential Theory" it makes sense that numbers came into existence as a consequence of something to count, i.e. if the early Universe had only one He4 and one H1 bodies then there would be no need for a number larger than 5 to describe everything.

This poses another interesting question, is there a current limit to the number we need to describe our world, and can this number be used to describe absolute time?

In accordance with my calculation method of summing prime numbers the following is true; 2 + 2 --> 3

i.e the fusion of two two's becomes a three, because p1 + p1 --> p2

Likewise we can see that p1 + p2 = p3 which in natural numbers says 2+3 = 5

The reaction: p4 + p3 --> p5 + p2 translates in natural numbers to 7 + 5 --> 11 + 3

To avoid confusion I shall replace the = sign with -->, this symbol is often used to describe nuclear reactions.

That's why I ask you to show more interpretations. One may help in mathematics related to primes and their distribution, but I am not familiar with fusion and nuclear reactions. So, to judge the work, one should be an expert in both domains. Readings about fusion may help to get the point. And then study their relationship, if any.

Note 4:

There is no need to classify numbers into evens and odds.

Divisibility by 2 is a special case of divisibility by any prime number.

If a number N is divisible by a prime p without remainder, we say N is p-even.

If a number N is indivisible by a prime p without remainder, we say N is p-odd.

Examples:

6 is 2-even and 3-even but odd wrt to all other primes.

9 is 2-odd, 3-even

10 is 2-even, 3-odd, 5-even

etc.

It only makes us look at numbers from a narrow point of view.

Scrap all knowledge about even and odds and start seeing numbers as primes (or mothers) and composites (children) only.

This way we may progress our knowledge of inherent properties of numbers.

And if you think this is by chance, 729139 and 139297 are both prime with prime digit sum (7+2+9+1+3+9=31).

Al-Quran consists of two parts: a Key part and a Message part.

The Key is the first chapter (The Opener) with 7 verses, 29 words and 139 letters,

The number of verses per chapter gives us the abundance ratios of chemical elements in nature

In 2002, Indian scientists at IIT Kanpur discovered a new deterministic algorithm known as the AKS algorithm. The amount of time that this algorithm takes to check whether a number N is prime depends on a polynomial function of the number of digits of N (i.e. of the logarithm of N).

Ali Adams , thank you for your input of interesting correlations. I personally think the correlation between prime number occurrence and stable nuclei is most meaningful.

There are still a lot of things science does not understand correctly, one of those things is direction of planetary orbits. If or when ground potential theory is shown to be correct, you will see that planets orbit the sun with negative velocity, and you will find that the planets align themselves at prime number intervals on a backwards winding fibonacci spiral.

The hydrogen atom is basically a sine wave, it has a peak and a trough, but observed from ground potential it is asymmetric, the proton heavy and electron very light, but essentially it is the number 2, one electron (trough) and one proton (crest). When two hydrogen atoms fuse and become Deuterium we get the number 3, because of beta decay, so this is the first step to creating a new Universe.

Such primal Universes do not need any number bigger than 3 to describe everything within it's horizon, it is inconceivable to extend the number line further until the universe grows bigger.

Following the rules set out in my table above, we can see that the number of particles required and therefore the total real number needed to describe the world increases as time passes.

With each fusion reaction ground potential falls and this is the definition of time. We can therefore say that. ∆t = dV where t is time and V is potential.

The definition of potential is E/q so since q (charge) never changes we can see that time is governed by the rate at which the observer loses energy.

There is little point in arguing this because Earth is a hot ball of glowing lava suspended in freezing cold space (1-2 K˚) so the flow of energy is indisputably outwards, yet there is no mechanism for Earth to loose charge.

This understanding can be extended to show how Earths surface temperature is a function of ground potential rate of change, which brings the cause of global warming into question... Is global warming caused by carbon dioxide in the atmosphere or is it simply caused by our energy consumption?

Any correlation between carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and global warming, almost certainly exists between global warming and human energy consumption, as the two are closely related.

I believe when enough people to understand this, our attitude to energy consumption will change.

Plants have existed on earth longer than us, and over millions of years have evolved to collect solar energy and store it in the form of wood.

Should we be doing the same?

Ali Adams , it seems plausible that the laws that govern our Universe are simple repetitive algorithms that form fractal patterns, so it is not surprising to find correlations even when things are not related.

Any correlation between prime numbers and the Quran is not likely to stand up to the scientific method.

Hi guys, just a reminder that science is the search for truth, this means we have to prove every link in the chain of a theory from simple axioms that everyone (without exception) agrees are true. If you have to believe in something to prove your theory, it means you haven't gone far enough down the rabbit hole.

Everyone agrees;

a) something is not nothing

b) something and something is two somethings

c) something(1) plus something(2) = something(2) and something(1)

etc..

now science has proven that things we refer to as "somethings" are at the very core made up of waves, therefore those axioms above may not be as obvious as they look.

If we consider hydrogen as a wave, it is according to Dirac, part nothing and part something, and when such a nothing/something object combines with another nothing/something object the sum total is indeed less than two. This is proven by the fact that H+H -> D and in the process some mass is lost.

In the H+H case the sum of two sine waves interfere and as a consequence a little bit of something is exchanged for a little bit of nothing.

This fusion process continues creating the stable elements we know from the table of nuclides. Each time another fusion creates a heavier element a little bit of mass is lost, this is until the nucleus reaches ground potential after which the reaction in endothermic.

The correlation with prime numbers is in this scenario is self evident, because the primes are not required until that element has been formed.

The hydrogen fusion scenario is a far more logical approach than to postulate a moment in time when everything comes into existence as a result of a Big Bang.

The Big Bang theory is in my opinion complete and utter nonsense. Physicists simply took the Hubble expansion and ran it backwards, without compensating for the fact that our horizon grows to include more matter over time.

When time is correctly reversed, the horizon shrinks and we end up with a single hydrogen atom at t=0.

Prime Numbers are deterministic. I found out one formula for their distribution, the so called pi(x) function.

They go hand in hand with Dirichlet series' arithmetic functions, a(n), and I found that the a(n) for the reciprocal of the zeta combined with the a(n) for Log of zeta gives you the distribution of the prime numbers.
