⛔ Wildfires are a critical problem that seriously threatens the ecosystem and communities worldwide. Nowadays, there is a tragic incident in California; a similar disaster happened in my country, Latakia, Syria, a few months ago. After completing my research on wildfire modeling, I would like to share the process I followed to get accurate outcomes. I depended on many data sources to complete modeling work using Remote Sensing and GIS technologies 💻 . First, I simulated data about natural and anthropogenic causes; natural causes included fuel, topography, and weather indexes, while human-made causes were the proximity to roads and settlements, ending with calculating the Normalized Burn Ratio Index Differenced to measure fire severity. In turn, the data extracted to study forest fires in Vellore Reserve Forest, Tamil Nadu, India, are from Sentinel-2/ 2023, MOD13Q1/2024, Landsat 9/2023, OpenStreetMap, NASA's Data Power/2023, NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) (2013) Distributed by Open Topography, Google Earth/ 2023. On the other hand, the data used to model wildfire factors were obtained from the Remote Sensing Institute, Damascus, Syria, Landsat 8/ 2023, and NASA's Data Power/ 2022. Here, I did not stop studying the ignition factors, but I applied AC Martial by wrapping tree trunks with this material to help forests resist fire for a certain period by slowing the speed of fire spread. You give various rescue teams enough time to reach the area and control the fire. I have conducted experiments on the material using models of trunk trees, and the result was satisfactory. I want to add that I have also applied the Growth Triangles. The triangle technique helps divide forests for ease of application, as well as the previously mentioned technique, which also works as a fire break and protects other sections in the case of any ignition stated in one of them. Here, the analysis of fire factors also helps to determine the places of AC application, and the next stage is to develop and add modifications to be more effective.
