I am looking for answers from people who have directly compared the two variants of blood white cell telomere length analysis with phenotyping, i.e. the Baerlocher method, where the telomere probe is annealed before the antibodies for phenotyping vs the Schmid method where the antibodies are crosslinked first and the telomere probes are used after that. Which method did you start with and after you tried both, which one do you prefer?

I will be grateful if you post an answer only from the perspective of somebody who has done both.
