Sometimes after craniotomy for tumor or decompressive craniectomy, patient develop blindness. There was no injury to optic nerve, tract or chiasma. For example in falcine meningioma surgery. Any thoughts on the pathophysiology?
Recently we have case like this. There were progressive decreasing in vision. Our ophtalmologies consider it ischemic neurophaty.
Thanks, is it due to hypotensive anaesthesia?
Blindness after waking up from anaesthesia? Or, as Dilshod said, progressively decreeasing vision? Have the visual cortices been imagined and tested?
Actually slowly after surgery.
