Refractometer can be used to find dn/dc values for SLS. Is there any other inference that could be drawn from measurement of refractive index? Possibly by changing the wavelength or temperature?
One could use it to determine the exact concentration of urea/guanidine hydrochloride/sucrose solutions which have been prepared long back and stored.
This is especially important in experiments where exact concentration needs to be known accurately (used in biology).
