I acquired a convergent beam electron diffraction pattern from GaAs in [110] zone axis and intensity distribution in 002 and 00-2 disks was different.
Why does this difference occur in materials such as GaN, GaAs, GaP?

Full polarisation is on the plan 111 and -1-1-1. "Plain A" and "plain B" for AIIIBV semiconductors.
100 has no polarisation effect.
110 polarisation effect is less then 111.

), appropriate zone axes for polarity determination in GaAs are [uv0], so that you can't see any polarity effect in 111 zone axisMy question was about the reasons for the differences in 002 disks as seen in CBED pattern
The origin is the non-centrosymmetry of both crystal structures (sphalerite as well as wurtzite) which do not have point symmetry, in contrast to e.g. the related diamond structure which IS point-symmetric,
