According to the Library Directory on the Egyptian Library Network website, there are 1292 public libraries in Egypt. I got the number by searching the directory using the "type of the library = public"

This is just a database. And there is no filter or facet option to refine the search by year of establishment. However, there is a printing option if you can print the result (1292) in a file and sort it by the date of establishment that exists in the detailed display. I'm sorry if it's a real mess.
