There are many oxides (transition metal and post transition metal ) show different properties while changing the oxidation states. Like Cr, Mn, V, W, etc.
Elements can be in the form of atoms, molecules, crystals, amorphous substances. In size, they can be nanoparticles. Nanoparticles may be charged as a result of adsorption of ions or molecules. Charge change on nanoparticles is not a redox reaction. As a result of the redox reaction, the degree of oxidation of the elements changes. The structure of elements at the atomic level changes, i.e. a chemical reaction occurs. The structure of matter and nanoparticles changes.
