I need to select indicator species from my data, please suggest me the most appropriate "Indicator species analysis" to do this and How to do it?

If you use R, have a look at the function 'indval' in the labdsv package. It conducts Dufrene-Legendre indicator species analysis.
I found it to do what I wanted and is relatively easy to use.
