Recently I have been working in some embankment project and plaxis V20 is the FEM software I am using to calculate. But by the time I am working, I figured out the water load sometimes applied to the structure above the water level, which lead to the error value of the structure deformation. How does this happen and how to solve this, can anyone tell me please?

Basically you need to alter the value of modulus parameters and increase the model size.
Sometimes models fail due to convergence in geometry so increase outer boundary of model.
