I wonder how and if could I use platinum discs as counter electrode in the three-electrode layout to test hydrogen electrosorption? And if it is possible, what would be the best way to join it? Layaout: working electrode would be tablet carbon-based electrode join to graphite rod collector, reference electrode would be Hg/HgO/KOH. There is any kind of metal could I use as a collector for that discs with no interference for proccess?
If you work in liquid electrolyte, your copper wire which is connected with electrodes (carbon working electrode, or Pt counter) should be fully cover to prevent short connections, or errors during experiments. Otherwise, you immerse part of electrodes, and the other part is above the surface of electrolyte to avoid any errors
I don't understand your question. What is "to test hydrogen electrosorption?"
