I am doing CEL(Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian) analysis for microparticles impacting the substrate at very high velocities. I noticed that plastic strains decrease(even the shape changes( even though it should be permanent deformation) after the particle rebounds. I tried a simple Abaqus example from the manual as well. Plastic strains continue to change for that case too. How shall I deal with it? I have attached the files that show changes in the shape
Pavlo Pavliuchenko Thanks for responding. I am using example from abaqus website. Only difference is that there is no fixed plate here. I have attached my input file.

My simulations involve extremely large deformations at high strain rates. That's I am using CEL
