We are doing BDNF stimulations of cells and spinal cord slices and I would like to confirm activation of pTrkB by Western blotting in these assays. Are there anyone how could recommend some good pTrkB antibodies?
I use this antibody against TrkB/TrkA phosphorylated at Y706/707 for TrkB (674/675 for TrkA) from cell signaling and it works nice http://www.cellsignal.com/products/primary-antibodies/phospho-trka-tyr674-675-trkb-tyr706-707-c50f3-rabbit-mab/4621?N=4294956287&Ntt=TrkB+&fromPage=plp
There is only one important point - they write that the 100 ul vial is enough only for 10 blots but in fact they work when diluted as 1 ul per 5 ml so in fact one 100 ul vial is enough for kind of 100 blots-) or at least 50 blots if you are using mini-gels ...
Different companies have specific p-TrkB antibodies such as: Abcam (reference: ab109684), (Santa Cruz (reference: sc-135645), GeneTex (reference: GTX86536), etc.
Moreover, you can see different anti-TrkB antibody products at the following link
