I think there is no a universal protocol that works for extraction or purification of all proteins. Proteins are very unique in terms of their physicochemical properties. Thus, it is always good to develop a buffer condition that enhance the solubility and stability of your particular target proteins from various biological sources or from different recombinant expression systems. Buffer conditions, such as pH, salt concentration, type and concentration of detergents,  and stabilizing additives, are very critical for extraction and purification of your target proteins in stable forms. I suggest you to use a high-throughput screening platforms to identify an optimum buffer conditions for extraction and purification of your target proteins.
