I've been recently doing a lot of PCRs, and every time, we need to separate PCR products with an agarose gel, then doing the gel extraction with the kit. I am wondering if we can invent an equipment like AKTA protein purification to separate PCR products. The PCR products can be loaded to the system with columns (or sth) to separate the products, and we can detect and collect those with target length DNA. Would this already be feasible?

If your looking for a easy method to separate and extract your PCR product go for Egel (invitrogen). Only drawback is, it is little expensive.
AKTA like system will fail terribly in PCR purification . They need large amounts of starting materials to feed into the system, PCR yields are just too little to load over a col and get anything eluted from there. At max , you can use a Qiagen gel purification or PCR purification kit for ease.
