I need help regarding a cell population that we have observed having PCNA expressed but not Mi67. How is that possible since both are proliferation markers.

I can understand having Mi67 positive and PCNA negative cells = cells that are not in S-phase anymore, but proliferating.

Can anyone help me how to interpret that?
