Can someone give me some parameters about the electrospinning process of the Nylon 6,6/Formic Acid solution? (concentration, flow rate, Voltage, etc.)
I tried Nylon/Formic Acid 20wt% (4 grams Nylon, 16 grams Formic Acid but it resulted in short, discontinuous fibers and sometimes the solution dropped directly on the collector. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Abdelkader BOUAZIZ, my Nylon has the molecular weight of 226.14. I read the documents but they did not mention some formula to calculate the relation between the molecular weight and the fiber's formation. Can you teach me some? Thank you.
I don't think it exists such formulae, rather it is a matter of 'trial and errors'. As I told you it is the viscosity (implicitly MW) that influences both the electrospinnability and fiber features. Try to use closer concentrations as those used in the suggested documents. My Regards
It is related to the combination of the parameters including polymer molecular weight and feed flow rate and voltage. Therefore, it should be investigated to find the optimum condition.
However, currently I can suggest you to increase the concentration and voltage, also decrease the feed flow rate.
Thanks to you, Mr. Ali Mianehro and Mr. Abdelkader BOUAZIZ Today I tried 25 wt% an 16 wt% Nylon 66 in Acid Formic, both created fibers but the diameter are really small and they are hard to peel off from the Aluminum foil. Do you have any suggestions to increase the diameter?
The problem with removing fiber from foil is not very related to the diameter of the fibers. Changing the needle to collector distance is more helpful. I suggest first increase the distance, if was not helpful try reducing the distance.
The solvent of the solution should be evaporated on the air and when it touches the collector it should be like a gel. In this way when the next fiber lands on the previous fiber they are not solid and they attach to each other. It improves the mechanical properties of the mat and help it to be removed easer. Also, if the solvent is not evaporated adequately when the fiber touches the collector, the fiber is watery an would hardly attached to the collector which makes it difficult or impossible to remove the fibers from the foil.
Therefore, I do not suggest trying for making thick fibers. The benefit of the electrospinning is making fine fibers. Instead, regulate the distance.

Dear all, fiber diameter is function of solution viscosity, usually the simplest way to controle it is via temperature up or down, since the stretchability increases (temp. up) and decreases (temp. down) with temperature.

Good lock for your research. I wan to mention that Formic acid is the main reason for metal corrosion.
Yes there are many published work on Nylon 6 and nylon 66 nanofibres by using Formic acid. BUT you "as researcher" need to know this fact
