Today i got an email about publishing my thesis as hard book bind through "Lambert Academic Publication". I have no idea about this. Kindly share your opinion. Is worthy to publish there?
If your thesis is sufficiently well put together as a monograph, I would never in my life simply throw it away by sending it to Lambert. There are plenty of serious science publishers that very well may have a book series where your thesis would fit perfectly - perhaps with only a small adjustment at the beginning to transform the text from that of a thesis to that of a proper book.
I can say from experience that it is much better to wait for the right publisher than to jump at first chance. Talk with your more experienced colleagues to see if they know of a publisher with an appropriate book series for you.

One of my colleagues gave his Ph D thesis to a certain publisher in Delhi for publication. They kept on making editorial changes for three years through regular correspondences. They even published a leaflet stating the name of the book [in press] and also gave the price of the book. Later they must have found that the publication would not be commercially viable. So they totally stopped responding. The book was never published! So follow the advice of Michael.
In most of the cases Ph.D. thesis are not considered as validly published. So you are to publish it in a usual way. So far as plant taxonomy is concerned certain things in it are considered to be validly published [say a new plant species] if the thesis has ISBN and distributed in more than stipulated number of copies in many libraries with open access to the researchers.
In reply to your second question above: A book publication would normally be peer-reviewed, whereas your thesis is not, so that is why a book is more highly valued in the academy than a thesis. In reply to your first : Lambert isn't really considered a good publication within the academy, as its business model is a bit different to university presses or other peer-reviewed publishers. Having such a publication on an academic CV doesn't look great.
Just ask your self : in networked world as ours , why would a publisher ask you for your thesis ? Unless it is a ground breaking work ( which it may be ) , their only reason is money .So just abandon them and publish open access .Good luck
I have received similar mails but my background check revealed that they are not credible to be used for publication of hard earned thesis work. I recommend REJECT!
As you may know in Pakistan HEC has already banned on publication in "LAMBERT Academic" and their published books and articles are not considered as valid or valuable by many researchers and institutions. Therefore, my suggestion is to publish your work in a well-known and authentic publisher.
LAMBERT Academic Publishing is in the list of predatory publishers. The published book or articles by LAMBERT Academic are not valid by many researchers and institutions. Therefore, my suggestion is to avoid publishing your works via LAMBERT Academic Publisher.
