Hello...To distinguish homozygous and heterozygous individuals can be performed using molecular analysis. Currently there are many PCR-based molecular markers that can be divided into dominant and codominant markers. Dominant markers (eg RAPD and ISSR) are unable to distinguish between homozygous and heterozygous individuals while codominan markers (eg, RFLP and SSR) able to discriminate betwen homozygous and heterozygous individuals. Therefore, in accordance with the purpose of your research is recommended to use the codominant markers.
