Can any one guide me how to do nonlinear analysis in Ansys specifically using second order theory. I want to compare result of Numerical modelling of the structural systems using second-order theory and using geometrical nonlinear analysis. I know how to do geometric nonlinear analysis in Ansys but wasn't able to do according to second order theory.

You need to select the "Large Deformations" option. But you need to understand that then you enter nonlinear analysis and completely different relationships work there.
Zhichuang Wang. I want to analysis model using second order theory in Ansys, I only know making large deformation on in analysis setting, it goes into geometric non linear analysis . I want non linear analysis according to second order theory. later I will compare various modal to find the point up to which ANSYS give same result according to numerical nonlinear geometric analysis and second order theory. I couldn't find if ANSYS solve according to second order theory or not.
