This is a very open ended question. There are several sources. You can check American Chemical Society papers, Fuel, Nature to seen some of these advances in any of these fields.
This is a very broad question! In the Hydrogen Energy field both for hydrogen production and hydrogen utilization (fuel cell) there is need for catalyst. Recently a new project has been funded by DOE about new catalyst materials for hydrogen production through thermochemical cycles based on sulfuric acid compounds (i.e. hybrid sulfur cycle).
