With progressive increase in A/C machine increasing green house gases ( CFCs) and vice versa . It is a cyclic problem through out the globe . Please suggest your views.
Jaydip Datta The relationship between the progressive increase in air conditioning (A/C) usage and greenhouse gas emissions, particularly chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), indeed poses a cyclic problem with global implications. As demand for A/C machines rises, especially in warmer climates and with economic development, so does the consumption of energy, often derived from fossil fuels. This results in the release of greenhouse gases, contributing to global warming and climate change. Additionally, older A/C units may still use CFCs as refrigerants, which deplete the ozone layer and exacerbate the greenhouse effect. This cycle perpetuates as more A/C units are deployed to combat rising temperatures due to climate change, further increasing greenhouse gas emissions. Breaking this cycle requires a multi-faceted approach, including transitioning to energy-efficient cooling technologies, phasing out ozone-depleting substances like CFCs, promoting renewable energy sources, improving building insulation, and fostering sustainable urban planning to mitigate the need for excessive cooling. Moreover, public awareness and behavioral changes regarding energy consumption and cooling practices are essential. By addressing both the causes and effects of increased A/C usage, we can work towards breaking the cyclic problem and achieving a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
