necessity of concentration limit for relative quantum yield experiment? Is it necessary for quantum yield experiment that the absorbance is less than 0.1. since the synthesised ruthenium terpyridine has no any inner filter effect or reabsorption phenomenon.ruthenium terpyridine complex is having PL in conc. range mM with very high absorbance but increasing the dilution to reach the absorbance 0.1 reduce the PL whose integrated fluorescence intensity is unable to obtained. I have tried lot of time but failed.please guide me it will greatly help me.
For relative quantum yield measurement's the absorbance should be 0.01. If it is not possible with this low concentration the higher concentration lead for aggregation the result will not be right. This the one of the limitation of the relative quantum yield. You can go for absolute quantum yield.
