Gratitude to both of you Abdelkader BOUAZIZ and Mina Karimi-Avargani
Actually, I am from a physics background so not too much knowledge about chemistry and reactions. And my research work on natural fiber composite but still I am not able to reach the final conclusion of synthesis of u/f ratio. My supervisor and my associates tell me the following method ....2ml of 10% NaoH +10 ml of formaldehyde and 6 gm urea heated continuously till we achieve a viscous form of solution it will take 1hr approx.
But I am not satisfied with this method papers shows the f/u ratio must be at 1.03-2:1 but according to my calculations above{, my associate's side} not fitted in this criteria so that I am highly confused about them and above these links the mentions molar ratio and I am totally enabled to calculate exactly required quantity...due to covid I am synthesis this at my home and I have only magnetic stirrer and chemicals.....please help me....and my last samples according to above methods totally hydrous .....Regards
Dear Dimple Bishnoi, this type of resins are well studied over the past years, and everything is well established and understood, just you have to dig the appropriate literature. Following are more chemistry oriented documents. Best of Luck
