Citrate solutions with a pH close to neutrality are oxidized by dissolved oxygen particularly in the presence of trace quantities of Fe 2+ and Cu2+ ions, resulting in the solution yellowing. I wouldn't expect it to become a problem unless the discoloration becomes excessive. To avoid the yellowing, I would make up stock solutions bubble them for a few minutes with nitrogen gas (to remove most of the oxygen) and store them at -20C until required.
