I need a multiple seq. allignment software for aligning above 150 sequences. I tried Bioedit and T-Coffee server.... all r take very long time... And bioedit is notresponding when its run.. please suggest some solutions... its urgent... Thank you..
You can use MEGA 5 but I recommend you to do a previous amino acid alignment using MUSCLE algorithm implemented in some webpages but also in the last version of MEGA. After the previous alignment it is necessary a visual inspection in MEGA 5 or Jalview. Good luck!
if you want to do alignment for multiple sequence, please try CLUSTAL X. it's easy and powerfull.
hi you are using mega 4 software . it is good and gives the mltiple and pairwise alignment also.
I second CLUSTAL X. If you want to do any further editing, re-alignments or colouration I would also recommend Jalview.
You can use ClustalW in MEGA 4.1 Beta with a min i3 processor and 3 GB RAM. If you able to use Xeon processor with 8GB RAM, than it will be great.
