Does anyone know the approximate molecular weight of Donath-Landsteiner IgG antigens? My colleagues and I are looking at examples of direct RBC antibody-antigen bridging with IgG antibodies.
Thank you for your response. While that may well be a general number for IgG antibodies, what we are actually needing to do is to compare the size of Donath-Landsteiner antibodies against antibodies for variants of systemic scleroderma. For example, centromere B antibodies are about 66 kDa. Scl-70 antibodies are about 100kDa. So we are looking for specific numbers for DL antibodies as a comparison.
Sir, if I am not wrong, the 66 kDa and 100 kDa are the molecular weights of the CENP-B and and Scl-70 proteins and not of the antibodies (autoantibodies) against these proteins/antigens.
