Hi everyone, I will be doing a number of linear mixed models and generalised linear mixed models. Has anyone come across Youtube videos explaining how to do this in SPSS?
Rolando Gonzales I think this is not what Mohsen Alyami is looking for, although split-plot ANOVAs (mixed between and within factors) are sometimes confusingly referred as mixed-model ANOVAS.
He looks for hierarchical linear models/linear mixed models/multilevel models/random effects models and this in the generalized form to capture different DV distributions (e.g. poisson, gamma...).
I do not know any tutorials for SPSS, but I have done some generalized LM in SPSS and it felt very restricted, never done a HLM in SPSS (too much of a pain in the a**). I suggest to switch to R for this kind of analyses, since there are some good books (e.g. Gelman & Hill), lots of tutorials and help from the R community and lots of ready to use scripts, which you can use for your own analyses. Maybe you can give it a try. Best luck!
