I'm trying to find out more about small scale (.6-40m3 / day) desalination technologies for coastal British single homes and small communities ( 20- 50 households).
I'd appreciate it if you could please respond with some technologies (preferably commercially available) you've come across that would be suitable.

In that case of desalination in coastal location I recommend you to read a little bot about the H2Ocean project, founded by the European Union http://h2ocean-project.eu/
In this project we designed a RO plant in coastal places to produce a certain amount o demineralized water to produce H2 by electrolysis. There are some papers that explains the design, sizing and some results about the simulation and a real plant.
