Using a bench top model to detect injury to ovine arteries and vein wall. Injury likely to penetrate glycocalyx, endothelium and basement membrane and superficial media layer. Must be an ex vivo method i.e. not Evans blue. A dye which can be painted directly onto the surface and show differences in intact verses areas of disruption would be ideal. Has anyone had experience of using Rose Bengal similar to its use in detecting injury to the tear film in ophthalmology?
