We are conducting a Network Meta-Analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials and as with most (N)MA, the problem of pooling outcome measures is rooted on the varied reporting outcome estimates of different journals. The most feasible course of action, of course, is to contact the authors and obtain the first-hand data. But response from authors isn't always that guaranteed. The second option, as recommended by the Cochrane, is to perform data imputation.

We have successfully imputed data from one journal applying the method of Wan et al., (2014) - Article Estimating the sample mean and standard deviation from the s...

as the journal we extracted data from did include all necessary information to proceed with Wan's scenario 3. The screenshot is provided below (see 'Paper 1 - applying Wan's imputation').

However, in cases where Wan's imputation can not be applied due to additional missing data, for instance in the screenshot below (see 'Paper 2-missing data), the authors (1) did not report MD and SD of Experimental end-of-treatment and Placebo end-of-treatment; and (2) they did not report interquartile of Experimental end-of-treatment and Placebo end-of-treatment.

Many thanks!
