You can design a new composition of media for your need; for this you must know the antibiotic susceptibility profile of your probiotic strains and general bacteria (you must mention the genera). By adding appropriate antibiotics in your sterile culture medium in the aseptic condition it would allow selective renumeration of the non-probiotic strains. For this you must need to search for a suitable antibiotic which is killing probiotics but not non-probiotics. Then, such an antibiotic can be used for the selective culture medium.
