Hi. I want to simulate a motion in Ansys Maxwell, meaning that I want to simulate 2 magnets, one fixed in its place and the other can rotate around its center point ans as you know, the free magnet should be aligned based on the fixed one. I want to simulate this motion but the problem is that it starts to rotate continuously and doesn`t stop when it is aligned with the fixed one. Any body knows what should I do? thanks

, Thanks a lot dear sir Pedrazzi. the problem is about the inertia momentum and if it is not calibrated based on the problem physics, it won`t be solved correctly. And you are right, always there are some frictions which should be considered in simulations like this.
It is very easy. You need to do a transient analysis with motion boundaries for a magnet. The another magnet can stay static. You can assign the rotational speed for the magnet. I have other similar examples with rotational objects in Maxwell. Send me msg if you need a copy of this material.
