I was wondering how to experimentally measure the TI gain of a TIA using a VNA. Usually VNA provides S-parameters which is voltage ratio. But how can we get/derive a measurement that is the ratio of Voltage/current?

Does having a photodiode connected to TIA help in converting the applied voltage signal from a signal generator (power signal+50 ohm termination) imitate a current source? Can we perform the measurement without a photodiode at all? Any help is greatly appreciated.
