I have a problem in the chromatogram readings. on this document you find 4 chromatograms, my question is what the difference between the first 3 and the last one is below.
it seems that you have a UV detector and TOF/MS. The first 3 are taked with uv detector at different wave lenght, and the last with is with TOF/MS. The last one are all ions contained in your sample depending of parameter you add. TOF/MS is a detector filtering by molecular mass (MS) and by cinetic energy of the molecular weight (TOF), mean low molecular weight get faster than higher molecular weight, giving you a better resolution.
it is clear I have another question please, is there a relationship with the retention times of the first chromatogram (440, 320 and 250 nm) and that of the total chromatogram of ions obtained from of the mass spectrometer in positive ion mode. thank you
The retention times are all linked, but in TOF MS, you are looking to all analytes that can be found between a range of masses (precursor) that you previously put in your parameter. It's the same retention time for all chromatograms you had with the same injection.
