A Ph.D. in any of the Agricultural Microbiology subjects especially soil fertility improvement etc that will help solve the looming problem of food scarcity would not be a bad idea, I hope.

PhD is a platform to learn in whatever lab you will be chosing per your interest, you have to work as per to it. The project designing is generally suggested by your guide but the experiment plannings could be made by you. If you have much interest you can prefer Jawaharlal Nehru University where you may also get an opportunity to design your experiment on your own. Also So without a much delay find the lab and start your experiments. Good Luck!
