From the additional screen shots it looks like Diabetes is the DV. But why is that showing in eqn? Have i missed something?. I have never seen PSPP. If you want to try R, J. Lander, R for everyone, 2nd ed has a program that works very well( sect 20.1). Best wishes, David

Stays weird. Redid in SPSS. I get a clear indication that diabetes impacts preterm birth. Again, the Nagelkerke is extremely low. Weird...

Establish first a clear association between diabetes and preterm birth. This is what I would use Fisher's Exact Test for. Then, if you want to, try out other tests or modeling approaches.

Fisher Exact result significant.

It is borderline significant for the two sided test. Now you can estimate the differences. I don't see any need for using a logistic regression here. It is a 2x2 experiment.
