Library has always been the source of knowledge. The format may have changed these days due to computers and online resources accessible and drinking coffee is allowed in some libraries but the fundamentals have not changed. To me the library is a holy place for learning.

I agree that library is a source of knowledge. As education is advancing, one has to be dependent on the other sources apart from school or college that is library. Any material may be hard copy or online material can be got in library. Library is not only the source of books, but also gives what is happening in current society.

Libraries serve at least three roles in learning and knowledge. First, they serve a practical role in sharing expensive resources. The internet contains no content. It is simply a global system of interconnected devices. As such, it is not totally accurate to call it a library. The World Wide Web, which is celebrating 30 years in 2019, is a network for accessing, linking and visualizing online content. Libraries, or information collections, as they are found online are in the form of databases. As such, what would be accurate to say is that today the system of the internet, the protocals of the Web, and searchable databases have engendered the largest accessible knowledge repository network in human history that has revolutionized our understanding of libraries.

Libraries never become obsolete. Though we have google in our hands today, we still hit the library for the serenity, and to refer to books and make notes (though we have e-books). The question is so thought-provoking; It wouldn't be a surprise if the future planners decide to remove libraries. In my perspective, a library is essential.

Library is definitely a source of knowledge. This consists of several text books, relevant materials, journals, proceedings and provides internet access to various course materials and electronic journals online.

The role of the library in the development of the culture of the people cannot be denied. However, libraries today have a much larger role than before. Because of the diversity and development of means of knowledge transfer, libraries have also evolved in a very large and unprecedented way.
